Washington — The U.S. presented a 15-point ceasefire proposal on March 25 offering a 30-day halt to hostilities and conditions including limits on Iran’s missile stockpiles, an end to enrichment and curbs on militia support, while U.S. and Israeli strikes continued after fighting that began Feb. 28. Iran dismissed the plan Wednesday as excessive and unacceptable, continued attacks on Israel and Gulf states, and saw its military publicly reject talks; Saudi Arabia and Kuwait reported incidents, and the Pentagon ordered additional Marines, paratroopers and a warship to the region this week.
