Trump administration sues to block Calif. tuition breaks for migrants

Sacramento — The Justice Department filed a lawsuit Thursday in federal court challenging California laws that grant undocumented immigrants in-state tuition and other financial aid. The complaint, filed in U.S. District Court in Sacramento, names Gov. Gavin Newsom and state university boards and seeks to bar enforcement for roughly 80,000 undocumented students.
