San Francisco 49ers tailback Christian McCaffrey is dominating more than defenses. On buses and planes he challenges teammates to anagram races and wins so often that George Kittle and Kyle Juszczyk say it is not even fun. McCaffrey has reached the 1000 level on chess.com and rarely finds takers in the locker room; guard Dominick Puni is the lone challenger. Raised in a home full of chessboards, he also leads the NFL with 1,439 yards from scrimmage and 11 touchdowns, including three in a rout of the Cardinals.
