LeBron opens record 23rd season in win

LeBron James returned from nearly seven months out to open his record 23rd NBA season, helping the Lakers beat the Jazz 140-126. The 40-year-old started and played 29 minutes, posting 11 points, 12 assists and three rebounds. Scoreless early, he hit two second quarter threes and piled up eight second half assists, including six in just over three minutes early in the fourth. Back from sciatica that kept him out as Los Angeles started 10-4, James said he can fit in with anybody, and coach JJ Redick praised his unselfish, willing passing.
