Iran halts uranium enrichment after attacks

Iran’s foreign minister said Tehran is no longer enriching uranium, blaming June strikes by Israel and the United States that hit enrichment sites. Answering an Associated Press reporter’s question, Abbas Araghchi said all facilities are under IAEA safeguards and denied undeclared work, while insisting Iran’s inalienable right to peaceful enrichment be recognized. After the 12 day war, Israel’s decimation of Iran’s air defenses has left vulnerabilities amid economic and social strains.
