Approval of how President Donald Trump is managing the government has fallen to 33% in a new AP NORC poll, down from 43% in March, with support slipping among Republicans to 68% from 81% and among independents to 25% from 38%. The slump comes amid the nation’s longest shutdown, which has snarled air travel, halted paychecks, and compromised food aid, even as blame is shared. Despite this, Trump’s overall approval holds at 36%, and ratings on immigration, the economy, and health care show little change.
