Citadel has lost another senior business development leader: Laura Sterner resigned last week as head of BD in Global Equities after two months, people familiar said. Her exit follows top quant recruiter Ansh Kalra’s move to Balyasny and continues turnover in the BD ranks. The reason for Sterner’s departure is unclear. She previously spent a decade at Point72, briefly joined a healthcare investment firm in May, and was hired by Citadel in September to replace Alex Topkins. Citadel declined comment. The multistrategy talent war has heightened competition and churn across the industry, including at Ken Griffin’s 69 billion powerhouse.
