Apple evaluating dual camera for iPhone Air | JQJO

Apple is developing a second iPhone Air that may replace its single rear camera with a dual setup, says Weibo leaker Digital Chat Station, citing supply chain sources. The trial design adds a 48MP Fusion Ultra Wide beside the 48MP Fusion Main and keeps the phone’s distinctive horizontal camera plateau, unlike the iPhone 17’s vertical layout. To accommodate the extra lens while maximizing battery space, internal changes may be required, and Apple reportedly remains focused on an ultra-thin, lightweight build. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo sees a launch in late 2026 and a larger third model in 2027.
