Google adds bookings as AI Mode expands

After introducing floating controls on Android, Google is broadening AI Mode’s footprint in Chrome with a new shortcut on Android and iOS that appears beneath the New Tab Page search bar at google.com/aimode, alongside Incognito. The feature rolls out in the US today and is coming to 160 additional countries and more languages, including Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, and Portuguese. Google also expanded AI Mode’s agentic tools: beyond restaurant reservations via Project Mariner’s live browsing, it can now book event tickets and beauty and wellness appointments.
