A fact check found President Donald Trump made numerous false claims in a Tuesday address to U.S. service members aboard an aircraft carrier in Japan. He again said he won the 2020 election and misstated the economy, asserting grocery prices are “way down” and inflation “defeated.” Trump exaggerated his record on wars and falsely claimed no other president ended any. He inflated investment figures, overstated migrant totals, and misrepresented drug-boat deaths. He also invented a Biden “pilot” claim and wrongly said the U.S. holds 92% of Gulf shoreline.
