Disney+ has ended its Doctor Who partnership with the BBC, leaving much of the world seeking a new streaming home for the series. The BBC says the show will continue, with a 2026 Christmas special written by Russell T Davies, and plans for the next series to come. Disney+ will keep the two Gatwa-led seasons, related specials, and the spinoff The War Between the Land and the Sea in territories where it carries the show. Gatwa’s run ended with a regeneration into Rose Tyler; casting remains unconfirmed.
