Four years after her first ovarian cancer diagnosis, CNN anchor Christiane Amanpour says her latest recurrence is being well managed. Returning after a month off air, she disclosed the cancer’s “fairly rare” form and urged women to listen to their bodies and seek care. On the Changing the Ovarian Cancer Story podcast, she described recent surgery, recovery, and the start of chemotherapy. Joined by gynecology oncology consultant Dr. Angela George, Amanpour said the current case is stage “1/2,” with disease adhering to her pelvis, and noted pain symptoms helped prompt swift treatment.
