Amazon on Wednesday announced AI-powered smart glasses for its delivery drivers, aiming to cut time with a hands-free workflow. The glasses let drivers scan packages, follow turn‑by‑turn walking directions, and capture proof of delivery via AI sensing and computer vision, displaying hazards and tasks in view. They auto-activate when parked, pair with a vest controller with swappable battery and emergency button, and support prescription and transitional lenses. A North American trial is underway, with future features like real-time defect detection, pet detection, and low-light adjustments. Amazon also introduced the Blue Jay robotic arm and Eluna AI tool for warehouses.
