White House Dismisses Questions on Trump-Putin Summit | JQJO

The White House dismissed questions about Trump’s planned summit with Putin in Budapest, with Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt and Communications Director Steven Cheung replying, "Your mom." Trump said Viktor Orban will host the meeting within weeks—the first face‑to‑face since August talks in Alaska failed. The venue carries weight: the 1994 Budapest Memorandum pledged respect for Ukraine’s borders, later violated by Russia in 2014 and 2022. The agenda remains unclear, though the U.S. move to provide Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine appears to be a catalyst. Putin aide Yuri Ushakov warned the missiles would damage relations; Zelensky mocked Moscow’s haste.
