Trump Floats Paris-Style Arch Near Lincoln Memorial | JQJO

President Donald Trump unveiled a plan to build a Paris-style arch just west of the Lincoln Memorial, showing donors three models at a White House dinner raising $250 million for a new ballroom. He offered no cost or timeline, saying leftover funds might help pay for the arch, which would stand at the Washington end of Memorial Bridge and feature a Lady Liberty statue. The White House and Harrison Design, named by Trump as the project’s firm, did not respond to inquiries. A federal review by the National Capital Planning Commission would be required, though its offices are shut.
