Detroit, major airports oppose TSA-controlled video

Read, Watch or Listen

Several major airports are pushing back against a political video from Kristi Noem, Secretary of Homeland Security, with Detroit at the forefront. At Detroit Metropolitan, bright yellow signs at TSA checkpoint entrances disclaim the video; the areas are leased by TSA, so the airport isn’t in charge of those screens. The Wayne County Airport Authority says TSA never sought approval and has asked it to stop. The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and Atlanta’s airport cite policies against partisan content; airports in Portland, Seattle, Chicago, Phoenix, Charlotte, and Boston say they aren’t playing it.
