A federal judge in Chicago said she is 'profoundly concerned' that federal agents violated her order limiting tear gas and riot-control weapons, and summoned ICE's Chicago field director to explain recent clashes. U.S. District Judge Sara Ellis also expanded the order to require equipped agents to keep body cameras on during law enforcement operations, citing a Southeast Side chase and crash where agents gassed a crowd and detained a 19-year-old citizen. DHS lawyers disputed media accounts and cited shutdown obstacles. The court fight comes amid lawsuits and disputed encounters that Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker condemned as creating 'mayhem.'
