A "48 Hours" report tracks the 2023 murder of D.C. photographer Joe Shymanski back to the reporter's Pennsylvania hometown and to his ex-wife, Heather Snyder. Snyder, who reported him missing, denies involvement, cites an alibi, and has not been named a suspect. Family suspicions shadow her as Brandon Holbrook, her former boyfriend, is convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to life without parole. At trial, Snyder invoked the Fifth; prosecutors and investigators declined detailed comment as Holbrook appeals. Snyder tells "48 Hours" she wants Shymanski's memory preserved for their children.
