Poll blames both parties, cruise itineraries shift

Read, Watch or Listen

A new AP-NORC poll finds most Americans view the third-week shutdown as a serious problem, with roughly six in ten assigning significant responsibility to Trump and congressional Republicans, and 54% saying the same of congressional Democrats. More favor than oppose extending health insurance subsidies, a key Democratic demand, though 42% have no opinion. Separately, Miami-based Oceania Cruises said it is revising Asia itineraries and replacing mainland China calls after China imposed new retaliatory port fees on American-owned or -operated vessels—400 yuan per net ton—saying ships can no longer effectively visit those ports.
