In a Fox News appearance on The Story with Martha MacCallum, New York City mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani used the moment to address President Donald Trump, rebutting claims about his experience and vowing to focus on lowering living costs. Ahead of Thursday’s first debate against independent former Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Republican Curtis Sliwa, Mamdani apologized to NYPD officers for 2020 posts calling them “racist” and “wicked,” reaffirmed a pledge to direct police to arrest Benjamin Netanyahu if he visits, and, pressed on Hamas after a Gaza cease-fire, said he had no opinion beyond adherence to international law.
