MAGA accounts target CNN shutdown town hall | JQJO

CNN’s “Shutdown America” town hall, moderated by Kaitlan Collins, saw Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez field sharp audience questions as MAGA-aligned accounts live-mocked the event on X. The White House’s RapidResponse47 posted derisive captions, while the White House’s own account reshared a clip of Sanders with a sombrero graphic and Latin music. Sanders mistakenly said Jeff Bezos owns X, sparking ridicule. He criticized ICE raids as spreading fear and warned about the shutdown’s stakes, drawing more taunts. Communications director Steven Cheung joined in, mocking AOC’s slip and Sanders’ comments about a potential CNN buyer.
