Porter Apologizes After Viral Interview, Staffer Clip | JQJO

California gubernatorial candidate Katie Porter addressed two viral clips—one of her abruptly ending a TV interview and another of her cursing at a staffer—saying she takes responsibility and has apologized. In a KTLA interview posted Tuesday, Porter said she should have handled things better and pledged to better show appreciation for her team, while sidestepping questions about whether more videos might emerge. The Democratic primary frontrunner framed supporters as seeking a tough leader to tackle affordability and resist “harms that Trump is throwing at California.” She said she hasn’t heard from Elizabeth Warren but other Democrats have reached out.
