Obama Urges Institutions to Resist Trump Pressure | JQJO

On Marc Maron’s final WTF episode, Barack Obama criticized institutions that cut deals with the Trump administration, urging universities, law firms, and companies to defend academic independence and diversity efforts even at financial cost. He cited pressure to abandon DEI and hiring practices, referencing criteria tied to aide Steve Miller, and noted some groups accepted terms such as reining in campus antisemitism to restore federal funding or offering free legal help. Obama also reflected on integrity, warning against holier-than-thou rhetoric on the left. Maron ended his 16-year run, admitting some fear about what comes next.
