James Gunn discussed Peacemaker’s season-two soundtrack and the DCU’s next moves in a wide-ranging chat. He chose Nelson’s deep cut “To Get Back to You” and Foxy Shazam’s “Oh Lord,” then brought both bands into the finale, tying the music to Harcourt and Peacemaker’s connection and the birth of Checkmate. Gunn says future DCU stories will track an escalating government–metahuman conflict, including an off-world prison, with threads touching Lanterns and Supergirl. Superman leaned on score; Swamp Thing with James Mangold remains alive. A Checkmate spinoff? “It’s a mystery.”
