Japan's Komeito party is reportedly leaving the ruling coalition led by the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), potentially impacting Sanae Takaichi's bid to become Japan's first female prime minister. The decision follows the LDP's failure to address political funding issues, according to Komeito Chief Representative Tetsuo Saito. This could end a political alliance dating back to 1999 and delay Takaichi's appointment as prime minister.
