Following the Yankees' ALDS elimination, the "Wait Till Next Year!" sentiment is evoked. This phrase, popularized by the Dodgers for decades, was first written in 1913 by early baseball writer Ren Mulford Jr. after the Giants lost the World Series. The article connects this historical expression of hopeful anticipation to the Yankees' current situation, suggesting it's a fitting, albeit bittersweet, motto after their season-ending defeat.
