In the new documentary "You Can See Everything," insiders say Elizabeth Holmes is lying. Reporters John Carreyrou and Amy Chozick point to moments where Holmes’ statements contradict evidence, such as her 2014 TED talk and a 2023 Times interview. Calley Means, senior adviser to Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., resigned on Thursday after growing frustration that the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) agenda had stalled inside the White House. Means, a longtime MAHA ally, said he was proud of the work he had done but left with “tremendous respect for President Trump and RFK” while noting the movement was “in the first inning and just getting started.” His departure comes less than two weeks before the midterms, amid reports that a key meeting to define ultraprocessed foods—a MAHA priority—was postponed, a decision described by officials as a “straw that broke the camel’s back.” The White House has not yet commented.

Microsoft’s new AI system, the Diagnostic Orchestrator, achieved diagnostic accuracy of about 83 % on cases from The New England Journal of Medicine, compared with roughly 36 % for generalist physicians using references and 22 % for those working without them. On emergency‑department cases from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, the AI scored 80 % accuracy versus an average of 47 % for human physicians. The system, powered by OpenAI’s GPT‑5 and built on Microsoft’s SDBench benchmark, also reached diagnoses at a lower estimated cost than human counterparts. The findings were published Thursday in Science. Microsoft says the technology still requires further development before wide deployment.
