Social event app Partiful, a popular alternative to Facebook events, has been found to have a security flaw that exposed user location data embedded in profile photos. TechCrunch discovered that the app was not stripping metadata from uploaded images, potentially revealing precise locations of users. Partiful has since confirmed the vulnerability was on their radar and has fixed the issue.
