Trump Hats Derail Shutdown Talks, Mock Opponents | JQJO

During a critical White House meeting on averting a government shutdown, President Trump displayed "Trump 2028" hats, an act House Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries described as "theatrics." While discussing serious issues like healthcare funding, the hats reportedly undermined the gravity of the talks. Despite the meeting, no deal was reached to prevent the shutdown. Post-meeting, Trump's team released a controversial video mocking Jeffries, which Democrats condemned as "unhinged and unserious." The incident highlights Trump's disruptive negotiation tactics and the ongoing partisan divide.
