Iran announced Monday it executed Bahman Choobiasl, accused of spying for Israel's Mossad agency. The execution is part of an intensified wave of capital punishment in Iran, reaching levels not seen since 1988. Choobiasl allegedly provided information on telecommunications projects and electronic device imports. This follows other espionage-related executions and comes amid heightened regional tensions and internal protests.
