Master of Orion II: Enduring Galactic Conquest Fantasy | JQJO

Master of Orion II (MOO2), a classic 4X strategy game, is revisited and praised for its enduring appeal in galactic conquest. Despite some design flaws and late-game busywork, its core gameplay loop of exploration, expansion, exploitation, and extermination remains compelling. The game's "total interstellar dominance" fantasy and satisfying long-term payoff hold up remarkably well after 30 years, offering a pure experience unmatched by many successors.
