Paul Thomas Anderson's "One Battle After Another," starring Leonardo DiCaprio, debuted atop the box office with $22.4 million domestically. Despite a high production cost, the film's positive critical and audience reception, along with strong premium format contributions, offer hope for profitability. Other new releases, "Gabby's Dollhouse: The Movie" and "The Strangers: Chapter 2," saw moderate and weak openings, respectively. Meanwhile, "Demon Slayer" and "The Conjuring: Last Rites" continue to perform strongly.
