President Trump will meet with Turkish President Erdogan at the White House on Thursday. Discussions are expected to center on the potential resumption of F-35 fighter jet sales to Turkey, halted after Turkey purchased a Russian air defense system. Trump has indicated a positive resolution is likely, despite concerns from U.S. officials regarding Turkey's human rights record and ties with Russia. Erdogan's visit marks his first to the White House since 2019, highlighting the complex but strategically important relationship between the two nations.
