Vikings Face QB Dilemma: McCarthy or Wentz? | JQJO

Minnesota Vikings coach Kevin O'Connell is navigating the challenge of developing young quarterback J.J. McCarthy while maintaining a winning record. McCarthy's high ankle sprain has sidelined him, leading to Carson Wentz's successful debut. While O'Connell emphasizes McCarthy's long-term development, Wentz's performance raises questions about the team's immediate priorities and McCarthy's return timeline, which remains unclear beyond his absence in the upcoming game against the Steelers. O'Connell stresses the importance of consistent practice for McCarthy's development, highlighting the need for a full week of preparation before returning to play.
