Mamdani Boycotts ABC Town Hall Over Kimmel Suspension | JQJO

NYC mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani withdrew from an ABC town hall, protesting Disney's suspension of Jimmy Kimmel following pressure from the Trump administration. Mamdani condemned the network's action as an attack on free speech, accusing Disney of prioritizing profit over press freedom. He criticized both Disney and his mayoral opponents, Cuomo and Adams, for their perceived cowardice. The White House responded with a dismissive statement, while Cuomo's campaign accused Mamdani of avoiding the press. Mamdani maintains his commitment to future public appearances.
