Lilith Fair Premiere Cancels Performances | JQJO

The premiere of the Lilith Fair documentary, "Building a Mystery," saw planned musical performances by Sarah McLachlan, Jewel, and Olivia Rodrigo canceled in a show of solidarity for free speech, following the suspension of Jimmy Kimmel from ABC. McLachlan, in her introduction, addressed concerns about free speech erosion and women's rights. The documentary itself highlights the festival's past battles for free speech, including incidents where artists faced backlash for supporting Planned Parenthood. The film is now available on Hulu and Disney+.
