Meta's Connect 2025 demo of smart glasses suffered glitches during a live cooking demonstration. The glasses' AI skipped steps and malfunctioned due to an internal issue, not a product flaw. Meta's CTO, Andrew Bosworth, revealed that numerous devices in the venue simultaneously activated Live AI, overloading the system and causing a self-inflicted DDoS attack. The problem didn't occur during rehearsals due to fewer active glasses.
