New York City Comptroller Brad Lander and other elected officials were arrested Thursday during a protest at a Manhattan immigration office. 71 people in total were arrested after demanding access to a migrant holding facility on the 10th floor. DHS confirmed the arrests, stating Lander obstructed law enforcement. Following the arrests, the building was placed on lockdown due to a bomb threat. Arrested officials were given summonses and released. The incident is the latest in a series of protests at the facility.
