Ukrainian long-range drone strikes hit two major Russian oil refineries on Thursday, causing damage and fires. One attack targeted the Gazprom Naftohim Salavat facility in Bashkortostan, approximately 800 miles from the front lines. Another strike hit a refinery in Volgograd, closer to the conflict zone. Ukraine's increased targeting of Russian energy infrastructure aims to disrupt the Kremlin's war funding and further pressure its economy. The Russian defense ministry reported intercepting numerous drones, but did not acknowledge any successful strikes.
