Chicago Immigration Raids Net 400+ | JQJO

Over 400 individuals have been arrested in a Chicago-area immigration enforcement operation, dubbed "Midway Blitz," launched by ICE on September 8th. Acting ICE head Marcos Charles confirmed the figure, stating the operation, similar to those in Los Angeles and Washington D.C., continues with no end date. Arrests include both targeted individuals with prior offenses and 'collateral' arrests of undocumented immigrants encountered during operations. The operation has sparked controversy, with allegations of excessive force and the detention of U.S. citizens, alongside support from those backing the Trump administration's immigration policies.
