Trump Proposes Tariffs to Pressure Putin | JQJO

President Trump proposed imposing substantial new tariffs on India and China to pressure President Putin into negotiating with Ukraine. This action, however, is contingent upon the European Union implementing similar tariffs. The proposal was made during a call with US and EU officials, according to sources familiar with the private discussion. The US intends to match any tariffs the EU levies on either nation.
