Princeton doctoral student Elizabeth Tsurkov, kidnapped in Iraq by the Iran-backed Kata'ib Hezbollah for over 900 days, has been released. President Trump announced her safe arrival at the U.S. Embassy in Iraq. Tsurkov, an Israeli and Russian citizen with an American sister, is a fellow at several prominent think tanks and has extensive human rights experience in the Middle East. Her family and Princeton University expressed immense relief and gratitude for her release, particularly thanking President Trump for his efforts.
