Virginia Special Election Tightens House Race | JQJO

A special election in Virginia's 11th Congressional District on Tuesday will determine whether Democrats can reduce the Republicans' slim House majority. Democrat James Walkinshaw, favored to win, is running against Republican Stewart Whitson. The election is crucial as several recent Democratic deaths have narrowed the party's numbers, potentially impacting votes on issues like releasing the Jeffrey Epstein files. Two other upcoming Democratic special elections are expected to further shift the balance of power in the House.
