Thailand's Supreme Court ruled that former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra's hospital stay while serving a prison sentence was unlawful, ordering him back to prison to complete his term. Thaksin, who returned to Thailand after 15 years of self-imposed exile, had his initial eight-year sentence reduced to one year. The court determined his hospital stay didn't count as time served.
