Democrats Join GOP's Jan 6th Probe | JQJO

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries appointed Reps. Eric Swalwell, Jasmine Crockett, and Jared Moskowitz to the GOP's January 6th investigative panel. Jeffries aims to prevent a 'whitewash' of the events. Swalwell, the subcommittee's top Democrat, will challenge the GOP's narrative. Democrats opposed the committee's creation, viewing it as a partisan effort pushed by former President Trump. The new committee will focus on Capitol security breaches and intelligence failures, while Democrats accuse Republicans of attempting to rewrite history.
