National Guard Deployment Divides America | JQJO

A CBS News/YouGov poll reveals divided American opinions on President Trump's deployment of the National Guard. While Republicans largely support the deployments, citing increased safety and crime reduction, a majority of Americans oppose it, fearing infringement on rights and freedoms. Support is more partisan than geographic, with rural residents more favorably inclined. Although most believe both the president and local leaders should have deployment authority, Trump's approval ratings have slightly improved among Republicans, possibly due to the focus shift away from economic concerns. However, economic policies like tariffs remain unpopular with a significant portion of the population.
