Donald Trump's plan to send federal agents to Chicago has prompted the cancellation of several Mexican Independence Day events. The deployment of 230 agents, primarily from Customs and Border Protection, follows Trump's inaccurate claim that Chicago is the world's most dangerous city. Organizers fear for attendees' safety, citing concerns about ICE targeting. While some events proceeded, others were canceled or postponed, causing anxiety within Chicago's large Mexican community.
