A groundbreaking study by the International Brain Laboratory (IBL) has mapped the activity of a mammalian brain with unprecedented detail, challenging existing understanding of decision-making. Using data from over 600,000 mouse brain cells across 12 labs, the research, published in Nature, revealed that decision-making involves far more brain regions than previously thought.
