Could This Spray Stop Your COVID-19 Risk?

A German study suggests that a daily nasal spray containing azelastine, a common allergy medication, may significantly reduce COVID-19 infection rates. In a trial involving 450 adults, those using the spray experienced a 67% lower infection rate compared to a placebo group. While the sample size was relatively small, the results also indicated a slower infection onset and shorter positive test duration in the azelastine group. The spray also seemed to reduce other respiratory infections. Larger studies are needed to confirm these promising findings.
