Gerrymandering SHOCKER: Will YOUR Vote Matter? | JQJO

Texas, California, and Missouri are redrawing their congressional districts, a move largely driven by Republicans aiming to gain a stronger hold in Congress. Texas Republicans, facing legal challenges, are targeting Democratic strongholds like the Rio Grande Valley and some areas of Houston and Dallas. California Democrats, also facing legal challenges, are aiming to add Democratic seats. This mid-decade redistricting, unusual in its timing, is happening because of Republicans' efforts to maintain or grow their majority before the 2026 midterm elections. The changes are predicted to impact several incumbents, potentially leading to significant shifts in political power.
